Gres Floor Tiles
Gres tile: This is the name for medium porousness floor ceramic tiles. They are compressed, glazed and fired-on just once. They are used for indoor tiling but not recommended for outdoor tiling. They are not resistant to freezing and can be damaged on the surface. They can be made of red clay (red body) or with white clay (white body) and glazed in any colour or design. The most modern ones are printed with digital printing technology. They are normally square or rectangular allowing different positioning according to the architects' wishes or to the characteristics of the house.
If they are glued with basic or flexible adhesives they are nor recquired to be soaked in water previously.
If used outdoors, it is convinient to use flexible adhesive. In this way we solve the dilatation problem and the subsequent detachment of the tiles.
